Ai is intersecting in our lives all around us. Whether it’s passive, like AI-driven content popping on your page, ads in the sidebar, completing the sentences in our emails, or chosen, like utilizing chat gpt, tools like Zapier, or business solutions. How will AI affect design? Many believe it will overtake artists and creatives, but we believe humans will still need to be at the forefront for one simple reason: newness. AI is predictive based on history; it can create new art, designs, or documents, pulling from public knowledge with the proper prompts and curating what we have seen into what will work for the future. Without humans, though, who is inventing the newness? Ai cannot wear tests and give feedback. Ai can help come up with solutions, but for the time being, it is a tool for efficiency.
